I started to have a lot on installation failures with the 2017 installer. I have device licenses for education. When erasing a computer and installing everything with a Casper configuration i was getting failures and about half of my computers over winter break. When I de-activated a computer from the Adobe web site it would then complete the installation most of the time. On some computers where I was just trying to run the installer and not re-image the computer I sometimes get a failure. After deleting everything from the /Application/Adobe folder the installer completing the last couple of time I had a failure. If you have one mega-package, this could explain why it's now failing. Rebuild as individual app installers. Could also try changing the date back a couple of days and see if the installers work. I had this same thing happen to me. One mega installer was failing at random.

Broke out everything to individual installers, and Acrobat was the only one that failed. My Adobe install policy now has all the individual installers on it instead of a mega installer. Are you sure you don't have any other scanner programs running? The error you're getting seems to indicate that another program is accessing the file or folder the installer is trying to manipulate, which fits well with an antivirus or similar program. Two things I've seen people say may solve this (apart from turning off their antivirus) is to install the program in safe mode, or install it to a different path than the default one. With GOG games, I'd recommend installing them outside the Program Files folders anyway, as many older games don't play nice with the modern protection schemes on those folders. Marekski: Looks like changing directory AND turning off the antivirus seems to work. It was originally putting things in the c: program files (x86) gog folder Is this a common issue?

As long as people have the option to change the path in the installer, I'd say the current default path is the best solution all around.
