Well after a very long long day of trial and error i thought i finally figured out the problem i was having and i would go on with restoring my data. Unfortunately i am having a very strange issue. I installed windows 7 on my hard drive using a bootable USB successfully and was able to access my desktop. Everything seemed to be fine but when i restarted the computer it gave an error- 'Reboot and select proper boot device.' Next i hit F8 with my bootable USB plugged in (with windows 7 iso on it) hopping to re-install windows but it goes back to my desktop. I boot windows7 perfectly. When i take out the USB i get the same error message.
